Before you can get started

Find out what type of coat your dog has, and what it needs in terms of washing and care. The minimum you need to purchase is shampoo plus conditioner, but if there are several products in the series, it can be a great advantage to include them in the wash, as products from the same series work best together.

When washing your dog, use lukewarm water before rinsing the entire body, but avoid the ears and eyes, as this can be uncomfortable for the dog – use a wet cloth instead. Then massage the care products well into the fur, after which the entire process is completed according to their instructions.

Drying and care after washing

Depending on the temperature, location and plans after your dog has been bathed, you can consider which way you want to dry them. There are several options in the form of chamois leather, towel, drying blanket and/or blower.

Why Should You Groom Your Dog?

Grooming is often associated with making a dog look nice. While that is certainly a part of it, it is far from the only reason, and certainly not the primary one. With a well-maintained coat, you can both prevent problems and address potential issues before they arise.

Additionally, some dog breeds require more coat maintenance with brushes and similar tools, so it is important to understand these requirements when choosing a dog. We always recommend starting grooming early, while the dog is still a puppy, so it becomes accustomed to the process.

We provide everything you need for grooming in our selection of grooming equipment. You will find everything from combs and rakes to nail grinders. We also offer grooming bags, which are great for taking to shows or simply for keeping all your grooming tools and products organized.

Our selection includes various scissors so you can trim your dog’s coat yourself. This includes thinning scissors and all-purpose scissors, all of high quality and comfortable to use. We also have stripping knives and stripping stones, which are used for rough-coated dogs such as terriers.

Additionally, we offer nail clippers and grinders, which are essential for dogs that do not naturally wear down their nails. It is very common for nails to grow too long, which can be uncomfortable for the dog. Having a nail clipper allows you to keep them at a manageable length.
